Quinn Carpenter held the Baltimore Redbirds (22-11) scoreless for six innings to boost the D.C. Grays (14-20) to a 2-0 victory.

Carpenter allowed one hit, two walks and struck out five.

The D.C. Grays had no answer for Mark Curtis, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The D.C. Grays managed just one hit off of Curtis, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his five innings of work.

Maverik Buffo got the win, running his season record to 2-2. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Isaac Mattson couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Baltimore Redbirds, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed one run.
