The Vienna River Dogs (17-12) built an early edge on Sunday, but the Herndon Braves (14-15) roared back to steal a 3-1 victory at James Madison High School.
A two-run double by Mitch Carroll gave the Herndon Braves the lead in the fourth inning.
The Herndon Braves couldn't get anything going as long as Jordon Accetta was pitching. The Herndon Braves managed just three hits off of the the Vienna River Dogs' pitcher, who allowed two earned runs, walked three and struck out three during his six innings of work.
Connor Norton got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed one run over seven innings. He struck out five, walked four and surrendered no hits.
Accetta was charged with his third loss of the year.
