Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Santa Fe Fuego (25-17) outscored the Garden City Wind (12-36) 13-11.

The two teams combined for 25 hits in the game.

Eddie Newton racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Santa Fe Fuego. He homered in the fourth inning.

Derrek Justice improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Santa Fe Fuego. He allowed two runs over one inning. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Zack Russell-Myers (1-6) took the loss for the Garden City Wind. He allowed 12 runs in six innings, walked five and struck out 10.
