Brett Balkan went 2-5, helping the Roswell Invaders (25-21) to a 4-3 victory over the Alpine Cowboys (27-19) on Sunday at Kokernot Field.
He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the eighth inning.Tyler Moore racked up eight strikeouts in the the Roswell Invaders win. Moore allowed three earned runs, five hits and two walks over seven innings.
A bright spot for the Alpine Cowboys in the defeat was Brad Orosey, who allowed only three runs while striking out seven.
Mike Straub (1-3) took the loss for the Alpine Cowboys. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
