Early lead gives the Trinidad Triggers easy victory over the Las Vegas Train Robbers, 14-2

The Trinidad Triggers (17-6) shut the door early on the Las Vegas Train Robbers (9-14), capturing a 14-2 victory on Saturday at Central Park.

Nine runs in the first three innings allowed the Trinidad Triggers to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Eric Williams and a two-run home run by Caleb Bryson during the first inning and a two-run home run by Shane Casey in the second inning helped the Trinidad Triggers put some runs on the board early.

Trevor Sealey was solid at the plate for the Trinidad Triggers. Sealey went 2-3, drove in one and scored four runs. He singled in the first and second innings.

Anthony Renz paced the Las Vegas Train Robbers at the plate. Renz went 3-4. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Matt Horan recorded his fifth win of the year for the Trinidad Triggers. He allowed two runs over eight innings. Horan struck out none, walked none and gave up 11 hits.

Spencer Hotaling (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 12 runs in five innings, walked four and struck out four.
