The Rockville Express (8-12) beat the Baltimore Redbirds 8-2 in seven innings on Sunday at Montgomery College after a five-run explosion in the sixth inning.

The Rockville Express scored in the sixth on a passed ball, , an RBI single by Brandon Fleming, an RBI single by Fleming, and a hit by pitch.

The Rockville Express were led by Mark Grunberg's hitting. Grunberg went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Fleming brought the heat against the Baltimore Redbirds (17-5) during his outing. Fleming held the Baltimore Redbirds hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

Martin Costes racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Baltimore Redbirds. He tripled in the first inning.

Andrew Valichka got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over five innings. Valichka struck out none, walked one and gave up six hits.

Mark Curtis was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
