The Gaithersburg Giants (5-13) beat the Herndon Braves (6-10) 6-2 on Sunday at Criswell Automotive Field behind Reid Leonard, who went 2-4.

The Herndon Braves' lineup had no answer for Zach Hodgkiss. The Herndon Braves managed just one hit off of the the Gaithersburg Giants' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.

Alex Lipman racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Herndon Braves. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Taylor Bloom improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Gaithersburg Giants. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Wes Todd ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked two and struck out one.
