Tim Yandel had two extra base hits as the Bethesda Big Train (15-3) took home a 9-6 victory over the Baltimore Redbirds (14-4) at Calvert Hall HS on Sunday.

Mac Caples had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the second and ninth innings.

Will Stokes allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out three over six innings of work.

Walker Sheller got the win, running his season record to 2-1. Sheller struck out one, walked none and gave up no hits.

Joey Sullivan (1-1) took the loss for the Baltimore Redbirds. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.

Zach Kirtley, Logan Farrar and Yandel helped lead the Bethesda Big Train. They combined for six hits and six RBIs.
