The Herndon Braves (9-10) and the Rockville Express (9-13) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Herndon Braves that eventually took advantage of them in a 9-6 win at Montgomery College.

Alan Mocahbee put himself in scoring position with three extra-base hits for the Herndon Braves. He doubled in the first, fourth, and ninth innings.

Dakota Dean was hot from the plate for the Rockville Express. Dean went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

Kyle Hassan improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Herndon Braves. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Corey Howard (0-1) took the loss for the Rockville Express. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
