The Bethesda Big Train (13-2) and the D.C. Grays (6-9) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Bethesda Big Train that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 7-3 win at Washington Nationals Academy.
Harrison Crawford did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Bethesda Big Train, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He tripled in the third inning.
Quinn Carpenter was solid at the plate for the D.C. Grays. Carpenter went 3-4. He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
Alex Calvert improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bethesda Big Train. He allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings. He struck out two, walked three and surrendered three hits.
