Three first-inning runs helped the Baltimore Redbirds (11-2) to a 6-1 win over the D.C. Grays (6-6) at Calvert Hall HS on Wednesday.

The Baltimore Redbirds scored in the first on an RBI single by Ben Breazeale, an RBI single by Nic Perkins, and an RBI single by Cody Sherlin.

Breazeale had a hot bat for the Baltimore Redbirds. Breazeale went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run.

Dakota Forsyth picked up the win for the Baltimore Redbirds. Forsyth pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out two.

Connor Van Hoose (1-1) took the loss for the D.C. Grays. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
