Emmerson Gibbs held the Vienna River Dogs (4-4) scoreless for seven innings to boost the Baltimore Redbirds (10-1) to a 1-0 victory.

Gibbs allowed three hits, no walks and struck out four.

The Baltimore Redbirds' Martin Costes was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Mark Gunst was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed one run.
