A walk-off single from Cole Warrenfeltz brought home the winning run for the Rockville Express (2-3) in a 6-5 victory over the Herndon Braves (2-3) in 10 innings at Montgomery College on Wednesday.
Warrenfeltz led the Rockville Express' offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and tenth innings.
Brandon Fleming had an impressive outing against the Herndon Braves' lineup. Fleming held the Herndon Braves hitless over 3 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six.
Chase Bailey (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
