The Rockville Express (3-7) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 7-6 to the Baltimore Redbirds (10-2) on Sunday.

The Baltimore Redbirds took the lead in the ninth inning.

Nic Perkins got on base four times in the game for the Baltimore Redbirds. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

Emmerson Gibbs put together a nice outing. The Rockville Express managed just one hit off of Gibbs, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his four innings of work.

Joey Sullivan improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Baltimore Redbirds. Sullivan struck out none, walked none and gave up no hits.

Brandon Fleming (1-1) took the loss for the Rockville Express. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
