Don Walsh collected four hits, sparking the Rockville Express (1-0) to a 9-5 victory over the Gaithersburg Giants (0-3) on Saturday at Criswell Automotive Field.

The Gaithersburg Giants' lineup had no answer for Rhyan Karr. Karr held the Gaithersburg Giants hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.

Colin McGowan reached base three times in the game for the Gaithersburg Giants. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Cory Callahan pitched lights out for the Gaithersburg Giants. The Rockville Express managed just one hit off of the the Gaithersburg Giants' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Rafael Martinez got his first win for the Rockville Express despite allowing five runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered nine hits.

Chance Callihan (0-1) took the loss for the Gaithersburg Giants. He allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out three.
