Tuesday was a great day for Jack Gomersall, as Gomersall threw eight scoreless innings to carry the Vienna River Dogs (13-10) to a 7-0 victory over the Baltimore Dodgers (9-17) at James Madison High School.
Everything was working at the plate for the the Vienna River Dogs in the second. In the inning the Vienna River Dogs scored four runs.
Kevin Lachance racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Vienna River Dogs. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Jordan Menfee ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
