Cody Brown collected three hits, helping the Bethesda Big Train (1-0) to a 4-0 victory over the Gaithersburg Giants (0-3) on Friday at Criswell Automotive Field.
He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.Drew Strotman got the win for the Bethesda Big Train thanks to seven strikeouts. The Bethesda Big Train's pitcher gave up just three hits over five shutout innings.
The Bethesda Big Train's lineup had no answer for Eric Brodkowitz. The Bethesda Big Train managed just two hits off of Brodkowitz, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.
