Justin Vernia kept the Pierce (7-12) off the board during his six innings of work and the Tacoma (13-7) beat the Pierce, 7-0.

Vernia struck out eight and allowed two walks and five hits.

Everything was working at the plate for the the Tacoma in the eighth. In the inning the Tacoma scored five runs. The Tacoma scored in the eighth on , an RBI single by Tom Simpson, a three-run single by Jeremy Spring, and a double by Garrett Anderson.

Anderson racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Tacoma.

Colten Barnes was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out seven, and allowed one run.
