Saturday was a great day for Jordan Knoll, as Knoll struck out six batters to carry the Chemeketa (8-8) to a 4-2 victory over the SW Oregon (6-13) at Chemeketa.
The SW Oregon jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The SW Oregon led until the eighth inning, but the Chemeketa took the lead back on a three-run home run by Justin Adams.
Adams racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Chemeketa. He homered in the eighth inning.
Brett Pearson pitched lights out for the SW Oregon. The Chemeketa managed just one hit off of the the SW Oregon's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out four during his seven innings of work.
Kris Jackson improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Chemeketa. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered two hits.
Branden Wilson (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
