The Linfield JV outdone by Henderson and the Lane, 2-1

The Lane (23-13) beat the Linfield JV 2-1 on Friday at Titan Field behind Kyle Henderson, who had two extra base hits.

He doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the sixth inning, and homered in the eighth inning.

Josh Overstreet handled the Linfield JV's lineup with ease, racking up three strikeouts. The Lane's pitcher tossed five innings of shutout ball and allowed only five hits.

Callahan Neely was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Lane batters and allowing zero runs.

Kade Fast paced the Linfield JV at the plate. Fast went 3-4. He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

Jackson Bertsch got the win, running his season record to 6-2. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Taylor Boos (0-1) took the loss for the Linfield JV. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
