Turner's walk-off single send the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs home winners, 10-9

A walk-off single from Andrew Turner brought home the winning run for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs (24-17) in a 10-9 victory over the Amsterdam Mohawks at Veterans Memorial Park on Wednesday.

Turner racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. He homered in the first inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 19 runs and 26 hits, including zero extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with six pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

Sam Machonis had two extra-base hits for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. He doubled in the first and second innings and singled in the sixth and ninth innings.

Ryan OConnor pitched lights out for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs. OConnor gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 3 1/3 innings of work.
