The Amsterdam Mohawks (29-7) jumped on the Victor RailRiders (18-18) early on their way to a 6-1 win on Tuesday at Shuttleworth Park in seven innings, scoring five runs in the first inning.
The Amsterdam Mohawks scored in the first on an RBI single by Brendan Tracy, a two-run home run by Handsome Monica, and a two-run double by Kyle Dean.
Tracy was hot from the plate for the Amsterdam Mohawks. Tracy went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs.
The Victor RailRiders couldn't get anything going as long as Joe Nellis was pitching. The Victor RailRiders managed just two hits off of the the Amsterdam Mohawks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his four innings of work.
Joe DeAngelis (1-2) took the loss for the Victor RailRiders. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out three.
