An impressive effort by Brad Schaenzer carried the Amsterdam Mohawks (22-6) to a 4-2 win over the Albany Dutchmen (11-14) on Monday at CPSC-Bob Bellizzi Field.
Schaenzer kept the Albany Dutchmen off the board during his seven innings of work. Schaenzer allowed three hits, one walk and struck out eight.
It was a good day at the plate for the Amsterdam Mohawks' Hunter Tackett. Tackett went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and fifth innings.
Gavin Wallace couldn't get it done on the bump for the Albany Dutchmen, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
