The Victor RailRiders (8-6) blew out the Elmira Pioneers (10-8) 14-4 on Wednesday at Victor High School after pouring on eight runs in the eighth inning.
The Victor RailRiders scored in the eighth on a solo home run by Brady Acker, a two-run double by Nate Ricci, , a two-run single by Tommy Wagner, and a two-run double by Mark Cardinalli.
Acker racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Victor RailRiders.
Will LaRue racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Elmira Pioneers. He singled in the first, fifth, and eighth innings.
John Saviano got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out four, walked four and surrendered five hits.
Nate Matheson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
