Will LaRue collected three hits as the Elmira Pioneers (9-5) took home a 5-2 victory over the Glens Falls Dragons (6-9) at East Field, Glens Falls NY on Friday.
He tripled in the first inning and singled in the second and fifth innings.Justin Lewis picked up the win for the Elmira Pioneers. Lewis allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.
Matthew Sturchio couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Glens Falls Dragons, taking a loss. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out eight, and allowed four runs.
