It took 10 innings, but the Edmonds (11-2) managed to put away the SW Oregon (1-11) 7-6 on Friday at Triton Field .
With the score tied at six, Spencer Greene came to the plate and singled, scoring Ben Roquet.
Lee Wunderlich racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Edmonds. He homered in the third inning and singled in the sixth inning.
The SW Oregon had no answer for Brady Batt, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The SW Oregon managed just two hits off of Batt, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one during his five innings of work.
Brian Way improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Edmonds. He allowed three runs over two innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered three hits.
Brett Pearson couldn't get it done on the rubber for the SW Oregon, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
