The Everett (6-9) built an early lead against the Skagit Valley (8-8), scoring five runs in the first inning, en route to a 8-3 win on Tuesday at Everett Memorial Stadium .

Dylan Lavelle got on base three times in the game for the Everett. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Alex Gray picked up the win for the Everett. Gray allowed no earned runs, five hits and five walks while striking out four over seven innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Skagit Valley's Cody Blount dominated the Everett's batters, giving up two runs and striking out six.

Robert Hill couldn't get it done on the mound for the Skagit Valley, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked three and struck out one.
