An outstanding effort by Cooper Goldby carried the Marysville Goldsox to a 4-1 win over the Top Speed Baseball (20-5) on Friday at Colusa Stadium.
Goldby's 10 strikeouts were enough to push the Marysville Goldsox past the Top Speed Baseball. Goldby allowed one earned run on seven hits and one walk over nine innings.
Steven Knudson got on base three times in the game for the Top Speed Baseball. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth innings.
Jeremy Bagnall (1-1) took the loss for the Top Speed Baseball. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
