A great effort by Matthew Haskins hoisted the Top Speed Baseball (16-3) to a 10-7 win over the Klamath Fall Gems on Wednesday at TBD.
Haskins rocked the Klamath Fall Gems with two home runs. Haskins went 3-4 in the game with two RBIs and three runs scored. Haskins homered in the third and fifth innings.
The Klamath Fall Gems jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Klamath Fall Gems were ahead until the seventh inning, but the Top Speed Baseball would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on an RBI single by Adam Vasil.
Jordan Kurokawa had an impressive outing against the Klamath Fall Gems' lineup. The Klamath Fall Gems managed just two hits off of Kurokawa, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out seven during his 4 2/3 innings of work.
Cream Puff ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
