The Top Speed Baseball (9-2) continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 12-2 win over the Napa 19_apos;s at Borman Field.
The Top Speed Baseball scored four runs in the fifth on the Top Speed Baseball scored in the fifth on a two-run home run by Matt Martinez, an RBI single by Mike Lewandowski, and an RBI single by Drew Taylor.
Drew Vanisi put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He doubled in the first inning, homered in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.
Eric Gleese had an impressive outing against the Napa 19_apos;s' lineup. Gleese held the Napa 19_apos;s hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
K Boo had a hot bat for the Napa 19_apos;s. Boo went 3-5. He singled in the first and seventh innings and doubled in the ninth inning.
Steven Borkowski improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Top Speed Baseball. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out eight, walked two and surrendered five hits.
J Pridy ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed 12 runs in nine innings, walked eight and struck out seven.
The Top Speed Baseball easily handled the Napa 19_apos;s pitching as six hitters combined for 12 hits, eight RBIs and 10 runs scored.
