The Alameda Merchants (14-11) didn't stand a chance on Tuesday, as the Humboldt Crabs captured a blowout 13-4 win at Arcata Ballpark.

The Humboldt Crabs scored four runs in the eighth on the Humboldt Crabs scored in the eighth on a two-run single by Dillon Kelley, an RBI double by Brad Pluschkell, and a groundout by Ryan Dobson.

Ben Petersen racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Humboldt Crabs. He homered in the first inning and doubled in the third inning.

The Alameda Merchants' lineup had no answer for Tyler Bennett. The Alameda Merchants managed just one hit off of the the Humboldt Crabs' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his three innings of work.

Matt Smithwick racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Alameda Merchants. He homered in the first inning.

Donald Robinson got the win for the Humboldt Crabs. He allowed four runs over three innings. Robinson struck out three, walked none and gave up eight hits.

Patrick McKnight couldn't get it done on the bump for the Alameda Merchants, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
