The Alameda Merchants (3-10) beat the Atwater Aviators (6-7) 5-4 in seven innings on Saturday at Fireman's Memorial Ballpark behind Marcus Williams, who collected three hits.

Tyler Rathjen pitched lights out for the Alameda Merchants. The Atwater Aviators managed just one hit off of Rathjen, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

A bright spot for the Atwater Aviators in the defeat was Trevor Griffin, who allowed only three runs while striking out six.

Tyler Gripentrog racked up four RBIs on one hit for the Atwater Aviators. He doubled in the first inning.

Dino Landucci recorded his first win of the year for the Alameda Merchants. He allowed one run over 2 2/3 innings. Landucci struck out none, walked one and gave up three hits.

Wyatt Moore (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
