Sunday was a great day for Steven Borkowski, as Borkowski tossed eight scoreless innings to carry the Top Speed Baseball (25-5) to a 14-1 victory over the San Francisco Seagulls (17-14) at Drake High.
The Top Speed Baseball continued to pile on the runs until the end of the game. The Top Speed Baseball scored five runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win. The Top Speed Baseball scored five runs in the fifth on the Top Speed Baseball scored in the fifth on a solo home run by Steven Knudson, an RBI single by Matthew Haskins, a two-run home run by Nick Rau, and a solo home run by Champi Lucca.
Haskins racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Top Speed Baseball.
David Moody ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out two.
The Top Speed Baseball hammered the San Francisco Seagulls pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for eight hits, 11 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
