Wyatt Castro went 4-4 at the plate to carry the Sacramento Heat (18-17) to a 16-11 win over the Alameda Merchants (21-13) at Sheldon High School.

Seven of the Sacramento Heat's runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Castro. He singled in the second inning, doubled in the third inning, tripled in the sixth inning, and homered in the eighth innings.

The two teams combined for 27 runs and 27 hits, including zero extra base hits.

Matt Smithwick racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Alameda Merchants. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the ninth inning.

Tristan Prybylinski got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered eight hits.

Tucker McPhaul was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked seven, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
