Matt Chavarria knocked in three runs as the Top Speed Baseball (13-3) took home an 8-7 victory over the Sacramento Heat (6-8) in seven innings at El Camino HS (Sac) on Sunday.
He singled in the first inning and doubled in the sixth inning.Brandon Langan racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Sacramento Heat. He homered in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.
Logan Truex improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Top Speed Baseball. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Brad Galisatus (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
