Ricky Rodriguez knocked in three runs, helping the Top Speed Baseball (34-6) to a 5-1 victory over the South Bay Storm (15-27) on Saturday at Drake High.

He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth innings.

Matt Chavarria kept contact to a minimum, striking out seven the South Bay Storm batters. Chavarria allowed one earned run, three hits and four walks over six innings.

Nick Poirier got on base three times in the game for the South Bay Storm. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Jett Gallagher ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
