The Alameda Merchants drub the South Bay Storm, 8-1

The South Bay Storm (8-19) had a tough outing on Tuesday, as the Alameda Merchants (12-10) dominated in an 8-1 win at College of Alameda.

A two-run double by Michael Perri helped the Alameda Merchants score two runs in the seventh. The Alameda Merchants had one hit in the inning.

Matt Smithwick led the Alameda Merchants' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Dino Landucci brought the heat against the South Bay Storm during his outing. The South Bay Storm managed just four hits off of Landucci, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Josh Cohen couldn't get it done on the hill for the South Bay Storm, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
