The Olympic need extra frames to finish the Skagit Valley, win 6-5

The Olympic (8-13) beat the Skagit Valley (9-11) 6-5 but needed 10 innings to do so on Saturday at Kitsap County Fairgrounds .

With the game scoreless in the second inning Ty Gartner came to the plate and singled.

Bubba Smith reached base four times in the game for the Olympic. He singled in the second, sixth, and eighth innings.

The Skagit Valley's lineup had no answer for Gio Battistoni. Battistoni gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Skagit Valley's Trey Smith dominated the Olympic's batters, giving up zero runs and striking out five.

Kyler Howell (1-2) took the loss for the Skagit Valley. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
