Three first-inning runs helped the Douglas (8-13) to a 6-5 win over the Olympic (11-21) at Kitsap County Fairgrounds on Sunday.

The Douglas scored in the first on an error, an error, and an RBI double by Brett Walker.

Mike Orosz racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Douglas. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the third inning.

Vince Sablan got on base three times in the game for the Olympic. He singled in the ninth inning.

Matt Courneya improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Douglas. He allowed two runs over six innings. Courneya struck out one, walked six and gave up three hits.

Gio Battistoni was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
