Saturday was a great day for Brandon Chernoff, as Chernoff tossed a shutout to carry the Douglas (4-6) to a 1-0 victory over the Olympic at Whalley Little League Park .

Chernoff held the Olympic (6-12) scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up two.

Jake Magera (1-3) took the loss for the Olympic. He lasted just eight innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed one run.
