McCone led the Pittsfield Suns' offensive threat, as he got on base five times in the game. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth and tenth innings.
Tim Budd went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Torrington Titans. He singled in the second, fourth, sixth, and seventh innings.
Kevin Johnson improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Pittsfield Suns. Johnson struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.
Evan DeVico couldn't get it done on the bump for the Torrington Titans, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked six, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
