The Brockton Rox (32-21) beat the Seacoast Mavericks (15-38) 8-4 on Thursday at Campanelli Stadium behind Tommy Marcinczyk, who collected four hits.

Zack Kirby baffled the Seacoast Mavericks, striking out seven batters. Kirby allowed no earned runs on three hits and no walks over 4 2/3 innings.

The Seacoast Mavericks' Ethan Joyce was perfect at the dish, going 4-4. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third, seventh, and ninth innings.

Conor Russell improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Brockton Rox. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Zachary Sloan ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out three.
