The North Shore Navigators (32-21) and the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (22-28) both threatened with rallies, but it was the North Shore Navigators that eventually took advantage of them in a 4-3 win at Fraser Field.
Chad Martin had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the fourth inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
Tim Superko picked up the win for the North Shore Navigators. Superko allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out three over 5 2/3 innings of work.
PJ Browne was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
