The Seacoast Mavericks (15-35) and the Nashua Silver Knights (25-25) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Seacoast Mavericks that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-4 win at Holman Stadium.
Michael Purcell reached base four times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the first inning.
Tyler Schwanz was hot from the plate for the Nashua Silver Knights. Schwanz went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the fourth inning.
Matthew Doxter improved to 2-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Seacoast Mavericks. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out none, walked four and surrendered nine hits.
Joe McCarthy (0-2) took the loss for the Nashua Silver Knights. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
