Tyler Hudson had two extra base hits, helping the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (21-24) to a 6-3 victory over the Seacoast Mavericks (14-34) on Saturday at Leary Field.
He homered in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and doubled in the fourth innings.The Seacoast Mavericks couldn't get anything going so long as Ben Brown was on the hill. Brown held the Seacoast Mavericks hitless over five innings, allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out nine.
Casey Aubin (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs were sparked by Max DiTondo and Hudson, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
