A walk-off from Evan Brown brought home the winning run for the Seacoast Mavericks (14-30) in an 8-7 victory over the North Shore Navigators (26-19) in 13 innings at Leary Field on Tuesday.
Brown racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Seacoast Mavericks. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the sixth innings.
Max McCoomb got on base four times in the game for the Seacoast Mavericks. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first, fifth, and eighth innings.
Jake Walkinshaw brought the heat against the North Shore Navigators during his outing. The North Shore Navigators managed just two hits off of the the Seacoast Mavericks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his 4 2/3 innings of work.
Pete Gonski couldn't get it done on the bump for the North Shore Navigators, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed one run.
