The Worcester Bravehearts (15-23) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to the North Shore Navigators (23-17) on Thursday.

While the Worcester Bravehearts led until the tenth inning, the North Shore Navigators worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI single by Brandon Fischer.

Thomas Lane brought the heat against the Worcester Bravehearts during his outing. Lane held the Worcester Bravehearts hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Daniel Metzdorf recorded his first win of the year for the North Shore Navigators. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Charlie Butler couldn't get it done on the hill for the Worcester Bravehearts, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
