Austin Filiere had two extra base hits, helping the Brockton Rox (18-13) to a 5-4 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (14-16) on Sunday at Wahconah Park.
He singled in the first inning, doubled in the fourth inning, and tripled in the eighth inning.Blake Oyler put together a nice outing. Oyler held the Pittsfield Suns hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out one.
The Brockton Rox had no answer for Austin Dick, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Dick gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Dom Grillo (0-2) took the loss for the Pittsfield Suns. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
