Michael Purcell collected three hits, helping the Seacoast Mavericks (9-14) to a 9-5 victory over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (7-16) on Saturday at Leary Field.
He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.Zachary Sloan picked up the win for the Seacoast Mavericks. Sloan allowed no earned runs, three hits and one walk while striking out two over seven innings of work.
Charlie Murray couldn't get it done on the mound for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
