Both the Seacoast Mavericks (8-14) and the Torrington Titans (9-13) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Seacoast Mavericks that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-2 win at Fuessenich Park.

Ryan Gendron racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Seacoast Mavericks. He homered in the fourth inning.

Matthew Doxter picked up the win for the Seacoast Mavericks. Doxter allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four over six innings of work.

Dean Lockery had a hot bat for the Torrington Titans. Lockery went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the sixth inning and tripled in the eighth inning.

David Gerics (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out nine, and allowed three runs.
